We Each Have to Be Accountable…
We each have to practice accountability and self assessment to see if we ourselves are guilty of systemic racism.
Sometimes it is subconscious or biased.
Either way it needs to be checked, it needs to be addressed and spoken about.
Silence and “obedience” or “submission” does nothing and those stances are dead.
Openness and honesty promotes change and awareness.
We are here to promote this honest, open change and awareness in the community.
We understand people can feel confused or confronted, and we want to have conversations about these experiences.
As Maya Angelou says, “when we know better, we do better.”
We can all do better.
