Are you passionate about social issues and events that spark positive change? Do you have experience in event planning and management? If so, we seek a freelance event organizer to join our team!
As a freelance event organizer for our organization, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing events that focus on social issues such as racism, poverty, gender inequality, and more. You will work closely with our team to ensure each event aligns with our mission and values.
We're looking for someone with experience in event planning and a deep understanding and empathy for the issues facing our society today. You should have a strong sense of social justice and a desire to make a positive impact through your events.
Responsibilities:
Develop event concepts that align with our mission and values
Conduct research and analysis on social issues and potential event themes
Plan and manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue, catering, entertainment, and more
Collaborate with our team to create event content that engages and informs our attendees
Coordinate with speakers, vendors, and sponsors to ensure the event runs smoothly
Qualifications:
Proven experience in event planning and management
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
Passion for social justice and empathy for those impacted by social issues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends as needed
