Refuting Unfounded Theories…
Dallas Justice Now (DJN), a social justice activist group dedicated to ending institutional racism and creating opportunities for the black community in the city of Dallas, is today refuting unfounded racist conspiracy theories circulated by Tim Rogers of D Magazine, Steven Monacelli of Dallas Observer, and AT&T employee Casie Tomlin.
Dallas Justice Now spokesperson Michele Washington had the following statement:
“We are disgusted by the racist conspiracy theories leveled by bigoted commentators like Tim Rogers of D Magazine and Steven Monacelli of Dallas Observer as well as by convicted criminals like AT&T employee Casie Tomlin. We have no link whatsoever with these third party groups they allege. The suggestion that we are being run by a white, right-wing political operative is also patently false, offensive, racist, and defamatory. This failed attempt to attack DJN and other people of color is the most insidious form of racism. Tim Rogers, Steven Monacelli, and Casie Tomlin are running interference for wealthy whites behind gated mansions in the Park Cities who want to continue letting our community suffer from lack of educational opportunities and a multi trillion dollar racial wealth gap. These wealthy whites and their racist agents such as Rogers, Monacelli, and Tomlin will do anything to avoid relinquishing one iota of their stolen wealth and ill-gotten privilege. They buy into the pathetic narrative that writing social media posts and attending a rally qualifies them as spokespersons for the black community. They are racists and have sacrificed nothing.”
