You Should Not Have to Be Good to Stay Alive (While Black)

Every time the cops kill a Black person, we hear the same story… how they should not have been doing this- or did you know they had a record for that…

Whether they had a gun or not, a warrant or not, every person has the right to not be killed by cops.

And for the crowd who claims they should not have the gun, they should have not run, they should listened…

how did you respond the last time you were confronted by police? Especially if you are a Black or brown person in the United States?

It makes sense that any human might panic when surrounded by cops, whether or not they were committing a “crime.”

The flight or fight response is ancient and non-voluntary.

Lots and lots of tax money goes into the training of police. They should not have the excuse of panic or reaction. Police have many many times disarmed serial killers, mass shooters, especially the white ones…

The point is they know how to take someone in alive or unharmed or minimally harmed if they need to disarm them.

They just don’t seem to want to for Black bodies.

It does not matter if you deem that Black person good or bad.

People are talking about how Amir Locke was good- and yet others still argue he had a gun (which he had legally.)

This country claims “innocent until proven guilty.”

and yet cops seem to think they make that call, specially where Black people are concerned.

It is so sickening every time the cops tale another Black life to hear the justification. Which would be understandable if cops killed just as many white people, especially the “good” ones.

But they don’t.

Every cop needs to be held accountable for every life they take. Black Lives Matter.
