Willing to Think

“Rarely do we find men who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think.”

(Martin Luther King, Jr)

It's Friday after a US holiday and we are drawn to the words of ancestor Martin Luther King, Jr. It is amazing how the truth of his words almost seems more true today than in his own time.

We are surrounded by millions of Americans who are unwilling to "think."

Unwilling to engage in "hard, solid thinking." It does take work to listen, process, reflect, research and then respond.

Most are too comfortable in their privilege to be willing to consider anything that does not support their comfort and complacency.

As we head into a cold, dark, holiday season, we implore you to THINK. THINK for yourself about your life, your actions and the impact it has on others.
