If You Are Free…

Coming off the birthday of Toni Morrison (and Audre Lorde) as TX still grapples with loss of power and equity- this quote felt like an appropriate way to end the week.

If you are free- what are you doing to free others?

If you have power- how do you empower others?

This is the simple solution that so many refuse to see- by sharing freedom and power, we get more, not less.

But this society, like all hierachal societies built on systems of oppression, was set up to seem like the opposite. And so we suffer.

Even in a global pandemic with unprecedented climate change, we still see so many refusing to step up into a way of life that could serve all because it feels different or uncomfortable.

Justice could be served now.
