Day 3 SCOTUS Hearing= Racist Circus
Today marks the 3rd of 4 days of confirmation hearings in the first step of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson moving into the first Black female seat on the Supreme Court.
and we wish we could say on day 3, things got more… judicial?
But other than Senator Ossof and a few other reasonable senators, we got even more of the racist, sexist, ridiculous circus from the GOP…
No idea how any of these people are in power.
Mr. Graham is obsessed with child pornography and religion…
Ms. Blackburn is mad KBJ did not want to define a woman…
Mr. Tillis is unable to read a document accurately…
It would be really funny if it was not painfully clear that this is all only because she is a Black woman-
A Georgetown government professor Nadia Brown, even had her “Race, gender and American politics” class watch clips from Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Senate confirmation hearing Tuesday, as evidence on how Black women are attacked professionally and have to remain calm.
KBJ is brilliant, educated, qualified, experienced.
It is disgusting that this is allowed. That it is on national television. That this is legal.
It is the saddest, sickest circus in the sad, sick, white supremacy society that still pervades so much of the world.
Fortunately, KBJ will be confirmed.
These nonsense tactics are violent, but they are in vain.
She will be on the high court and someday, hopefully, this disaster will no longer be our reality.
