What is Radical?

We often hear that our goals and desires are “radical.” That we are radical in our beliefs, as though this is is a bad thing, a scary, extreme thing.

It is always interesting how few people know that “Radical” actually means:

Radical, by original definition, means to go back to the root.

So, yes, we are radical, in that we want to get to the root of systemic racism and injustice so that we can pull it out from the root, and from thoseold, dirty, diseaseed roots, bring in a new system of justice, freedom and equality.

We are radical. and We hope you are, too.
