The Road to Freedom

Sobering words from Angela Davis.

At a time where we are all seeing more death than we are accustomed to due to covid- we also have to remember these deaths are overwhelmingly in BIPOC communities, as well as in lower income areas.

We are stalked by death on all sides when racism and corruption are the roots of our government infrastructure. Even as this pandemic rages through our cities, lives are still lost daily by violence, police brutality, addiction, inequality, ignorance and mental illness.

and yet, we are still walking the road of freedom. We are still finding ways to empower and liberate ourselves, our families, our society.

Even as death lingers and fear rises, remember that every conscious action still brings us closer to freedom.

Be safe, be smart, keeping working toward justice.
