The Life of a Nation

“The life of a nation is secure only while the nation is honest, truthful, and virtuous.”
Frederick Douglass

We look again at the language of ancestor Douglass. The breach in security, truth, virtue and honesty at the Nation’s capitol yesterday have confirmed beyond the shadow of a doubt (for any who still had some), that this country is in deep trouble.

Built on a foundation of genocide and enslavement, it is no surprise we find ourseves here, ravaged by a pandemic, the effects of system racism, greed, inequality.

The only hope is in rebuilding from the roots.

Ripping out the rotted and diseased past and creating a nation like the one Frederick describes.

Do you think it is possible?
