The Function of Education
As we finish another week of February (Black History Month)
we are reminded by the words of the great MLK, Jr how important real education is- the need now more than ever to think intensively and critically.
To have both intelligence and character.
How have you educated yourself this week?
How can you do better next week?
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.
Intelligence plus character- that is the goal of true education.”
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
(Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the Civil Rights Movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968.)
