Pandemic Prophesy Fulfilled in Texas

For over two years, we have watched as Texas has essentially ignored a deadly pandemic.

Refusing mask mandates, vax mandates, blatantly keeping schools and businesses open.

People have suffered, people have died.

and now, the senseless way Omicron has ripped through this state- the insane number of positive tests, hospitalizations and now, the increase in death.

Hospitals are overwhelmed, staff and test and treatment shortages.

All the things we have been told would happen if we ignored the severity of the spikes…

are now happening.

and again…who is harmed most? Essential workers. Lower income communities. BIPOC children and families.

Abbott trying to stay open at Business as Usual while demanding the Federal government is somehow to blame.

Ignorance. Greed. Systemic corruption.

and sad, sick, unnecessary illness and death.
