Julius Jones Should Be Free

Julius Jones was supposed to be executed in Oklahoma today.

At the last minute, just three hours before, his execution was postponed. But he still remains in prison.

Julius Jones is innocent.

he should be free and the state should be taking responsibility and making reparations for the 20 years he has spent on death row for a crime he did not commit.

Julius was only 19 when he was set up, a promising young Black man with a future. There is substantial evidence to prove his innocence, and yet, once again, the system is corrupt and does not care- they only care to frame, incarcerate and or kill Black men.

Julius Jones did not die today, but he is not yet free.

It is up to us to speak up, share his name and demand justice for him and all those who suffer a similar fate.
